Welcome to my little forest.  I've lived here for 4 years and this is the first year I've actually tried to grow anything out there. Turns out I have a green thumb. The tall sorta bush next to me I planted from a seed.  I threw the packet away so I have no idea what it's called.  If you know, help a girl out.  Drew and I have been playing around with the new camera. Back in black

So happy to be back! I kinda feel lost without blogging everyday.  The conference was great!  Very educational and all that junk.  It's really hard to dress for those things especially in Florida. Sweat would pour  the second I stepped foot outside. My hotel was attached to the convention center but it was all open walkways.  Awful.  It was so cold in the convention center I could see my breath.  Okay,  maybe not that cold but you get my drift.  Cardigans were my best friend.

I had these little beauties (you should know me well enough by now to know I'm referring to my shoes) waiting for me when I got home this week.  Super sale online that I couldn't pass up!!!

Time to go watch Drew attempt to make risotto and mussels.  I have high hopes for this one, kids!  I'll keep you posted!

I'm back!!

I promise I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!  I just got home from a conference in Orlando.  No outfit pics from the conference to post.  I hope to be back up and running by tomorrow!

USING MY NEW CAMERA!!

I think thrifting has become one of my new favorite ways to shop.  Creating my blog has opened this creative portal that I never really knew I had.  I love that I can walk into a thrift store and my imagination goes crazy!  I'm still new to the thrifting thing but so far so good.

The Skirt
I fell in love with it the second I saw it for three reason.  One: I don't have any striped pencil skirts, Two: It's a pencil skirt..duh, and Three: it was $2.

The Purse
It's not really a bag, it's not really a clutch...purse will due.  I love it.  Nothing else to say about it.

Annnd done! Phew! I am so excited to be finished! I really miss the rest of the stuff in my closet.  I'm keeping this post short and sweet. I have a 10:15pm volleyball game.  Yes, that's what I said.  So beeping late.

It's okay! I didn't wear this to work today! This was my outfit from dinner last night. I don't think walking into the Kroger office in short shorts and heels would go over very well.  Although, I've been seeing some seriously short/tight dresses and platforms around the office recently.  Not a great way to demand respect if you ask me...but what do I know. 

I hope everyone is keeping cool today!  It's so hard to dress appropriately for lava hot weather outside and a freezing office.

So happy this 30x30 is coming to an end!

This wasn't the greatest effort I've given an outfit.  My original idea was to tuck this dress into a pencil skirt. It didn't work really well.  You've seen this dress in my remix with a different belt and flat sandals.   I dressed it up a bit this time. That counts as another outfit, right?  I chose this dress for my 30x30 because I never really wear it that often.  I like it, but I don't love it.  Drew hates it.  I really think it's just the print he hates.  Can't please them all!

Forgotten Shoes

Is it bad that it's only Tuesday and I'm wishing for Friday?  I swear I'm gonna wish my life away.  I leave for Orlando this weekend for an education conference for Meeting Planners.  Fun stuff,  huh!?  I'm actually really excited.  I'll be getting my learn on with planners from across the world.. Party.

I found these shoes in the back of my closet last week.  I completely forgot I had them. Christmas.  Not sure why I would ever forget about these beauties.  I guess that's what happens when you have too many shoes.  I got them at DSW last year (I think last year).  On sale of course. I got them for something close to $10 because they were missing the ankle straps.  Jackpot!

Another two-fer from the weekend.  I took some of your advice and did a shirt/dress combo this time. You've seen this Loft dress before.  I really liked how it turned out but I don't suggest layering like this when it's friggin lava hot outside.  Bad news bears. 

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  My new camera came in tonight and I'm pumped.  I hope to be posting pics with it soon. Gotsta teach myself how to use it first.

I'm pretty proud of the of the first outfit. Before my blogging adventures I would have never thought throwing a pencil skirt over a dress would work.  I dig it. 

Good news!!! My new camera is on it's way. No more fuzzy pics.  

I went on a nice thrifting trip today.  I picked up some goodies. Can't wait to show them off.
