The Best Dress Pants

You can't really tell in the pictures but my pants are navy. In my opinion, New York and Company has THE BEST dress pants. I love the length and flowiness of these. I'm so biased that I've never really tried buying dress pants anywhere else. So tell me, am I wrong? Is there an amazing pair of pants out there that I'm missing out on? Do tell! How many times could I possibly say the word pants in this post?

The Winter Box

Good morning, Loves! It's almost Friday. Thank goodness! Earlier this week I dug out my winter clothes box. As much as I didn't want to see Summer go, I was ready. I had about 6 skirts and a few sweaters packed away, this skirt included. It was like Christmas! This girl loves to shop, especially when the seasons change. Packing away clothes and the rediscovering them really suppresses my shopping ~~addiction~~ adventures. My wallet will appreciate that.

Has anyone else busted out the winter box yet? Any great finds??

Oh, your pants are yellow!

Have you ever seen the Cotton commercial with Kate Bosworth? I want that closet!! Not to mention the adorable dresses she wears. I know, random. The commercial came on while I was sitting here trying to figure out what to type.

I got a lot of "Oh, your pants are yellow!" comments today. Maybe the Kroger world wasn't ready for yellow britches just yet.

Sorry for the short and random posts, my friends. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel at work. Thank goodness.

So, I guess this would be a men's wear look even though it's not actually menswear. I've had this vest for years and probably haven't worn it in years. I actually have matching pants...it's a whole suite thing I guess. I've never worn the two together. In fact, I didn't even purchase them at the same time. When I went to put the pants away I saw my vest and was like "Well I'll be darned!" that's how us Kentucky folk talk. Anyway, I really like the material of the vest...I should wear it more often.

So, happy it's FINALLY Thursday! My little sister got asked to homecoming and asked me to help her get ready. ADORABLE. I'm really looking forward to it.

I went full on bangs this time! What do you think? On Monday had one of those annoying bad hair days where enough was enough. I decided it was time for a change. So, this is what I did tonight (Tuesday night). I think I dig it. I've had short bangs but never like this. I can't wait for my hair to be longer!

It's jeans week at work. Donate $5 to United Way and get a jeans pass, not too shabby.

I'm sitting here eating my greek yogurt and V8 desperatly trying to think about something to write. Blankness. Could it be that my brain is on overload from work? Yes. Could it be that I can't stop thinking about how stressed I'm getting over this CMP exam? Probably. Oh well... hope everyone has a great Thursday!!

Yes, I did some shopping. I have to admit I spent way too much money on these shoes. But guys, they're navy! Do you see any navy shoes in my shoe collection? I didn't think so. It was a must and I just couldn't wait for them to go on sale. I feel dirty. It's okay, just don't tell Drew. The skirt is new too. I wanted to add something a bit different to the obsessive collection of pencil skirts I have. I love this thing. I got a lot of compliments as well as questionable look today. Take it or leave it.

Music Monday and Yellow Pants

What is this? I'm wearing pants again!!?! Even better, their YELLOW!!! This is my first time ever owning a pair of color pants!! Love them! The best part is they were only $14 at H&M! I think you'll be seeing a lot of these this Fall. I think I need to show a "work version" of the pants next.

Music Monday: Colour Revolt - "Reno"

For Music Monday I thought I'd share a band I've been listening a lot to lately. I saw them at a place in Cincinnati called Northside Tavern a few months ago. I didn't know anything thing about them going in, but the minute they started playing it was LOVE. They're coming back in November and I spreading the word. If you're into this music, this band is amazing. They share a different sound that I don't hear often. I love the sound of the lead singer's raspy voice and the way they harmonize. The song "Reno" is one of my favorite songs from The Cradle album.

The Forgotten Dress

This outfit was from last week before the temperature dropped. I LOVE THIS DRESS! Maybe a tad too dressy for work but I don't care. I forgot I even owned the thing. How could I? I bought it in 2009 to wear in NYC on Christmas day.

Hmmm I think I like it better in my recent pics. I'll have to try to remix it a few different ways. It's so fun looking back at old pictures. This was pre-tattoo Ang AND short hair! The more pictures I see of myself with short hair the more I hate it. What do you all think? Long hair or short?

Weekend Update: Nashville

Well, we made it back from Nashville safe and sound. It was so nice to get away! I turned off the cell phone and Blackberry and just escaped from EVERYONE. We didn't do too many touristy things. We stayed at the Sheraton Music City in a SWEET room. They had the best pool so we spent most of Friday and Saturday in the sun. Not to shabby. I thought I'd share some highlights...
