My Professional Look

It's been a long time since I've worn an outfit like this. It's amazing how dressing up can put you in such a great mood. This is a perfect look for an interview or any sort of work event. I don't know about you, but if I have a big meeting or an interview comign up, I always stress about what i'm wearing. Why do that to yourself?! Just throw a button up and a pencil skirt together, and boom! Done. It says This girl knows what she's talking about! Well, at least that's how it makes me feel.

Forgotten Shoes

If this isn't breaking out of my shell at work, I don't know what is. I felt more like ME in this outfit! I miss dressing like this everyday to work. So, why should I stop? I'm such a fan of red and leopard. I feel like this is a combination that MUST be together, always.

I saw a girl wearing these shoes at my work event a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't wait to tell her how much I loved them and that I have the same pair. Sometimes I feel like I get overly excited about clothes and shoes and some just don't get it. Ha. Anyway, I pulled these from the back of my closest (blowing the dust off) after being reminded just how much I love them. I guess that's what happens when you have "too many shoes in your closet". Whatever, Drew.

I'm in love with Rachel Bilson's style. Who would have thought to pair floral, red, & leopard!? I found this picture in a magazine many moons ago. I ripped it out and placed in my extremely unorganized inspiration pile. I was determined to make this outfit happen! Next...red pencil skirt.

Kitten Heels

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! After my year in review post I couldn't stop thinking about these shoes. It's been awhile since I've busted these babies out. I wish I could find a kitten heel shoe as cute as these more often. My feet and knees would probably love me so much more.

I have to brag about this sweater...6 bucks at Old Navy! I love when I randomly stumble across a fabulous sale.

Apparently these are my "cougar shoes". At least that's what the lady walking behind me at Target said. Um lady, if you're going to talk about me let's bring it down to a whisper. Sheesh.

I went shopping for my little sister's sweet sixteen gift. Ugh, I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was babysitting her and chasing her all over the house. Now, she's all grown up and so beautiful!

My first official outside shot. Drew and I went on an adventure yesterday trying to find a site for our wedding ceremony. I think we found it. I decided that the coast was clear enough to snap a few pics.

I think this top and these shoes were the best purchases I've ever made. Both less then $20, can't beat it. I think I've worn them both about a dozen times this week. So easy, comfy, and they go with anything.

Awkward While Shopping

I could easily make 20 different outfits with this dress by simply throwing on a different cardigan or jacket with it. If only I could do this 20 days in a row, picking out an outfit each morning would be much easier. I'd probably get to sleep in 20 extra minutes.

A girl in my department asked me if I would go shopping with her soon to help pick out some new outfits. I was flattered. Then I thought about how awkward I am while shopping. My co-worker would not enjoy herself. As much as I love clothes and buying new, the whole process of shopping can be annoying to me. When I shop I'm typically alone and on a mission. I think is this one of the many things that Drew loves about me...I rarely make him tag along.

These pictures are a result of my impatience. My camera battery was dead so instead of waiting a few for it to charge, I broke out the old camera. I just got home from dinner with my mom and sister. I was ready to put on my warm pj's.

I really love navy and this green together. Not sure why I haven't paired the two together before now.

No shopping in October?

This skirt and jacket were my latest purchase. I've been looking for a simple casual black skirt like this for so long. $60 skirt on sale for $20...booyah! The jacket, on the other hand, not on sale. I ~~needed~~ a fall jacket. It's not cold enough for the old winter jacket.

I've decided to follow Lilly's lead at Lilly's Style and try to not shop in October. It's going to be difficult right at the beginning of a season change, but I think I can do it. Wish me luck.

Weekend Update: Nashville

Well, we made it back from Nashville safe and sound. It was so nice to get away! I turned off the cell phone and Blackberry and just escaped from EVERYONE. We didn't do too many touristy things. We stayed at the Sheraton Music City in a SWEET room. They had the best pool so we spent most of Friday and Saturday in the sun. Not to shabby. I thought I'd share some highlights...
