Two items I haven't worn from my 30 for 30 pick yet. I was at work on Friday until 8pm. No fun at all. I'm working on one of my larger events coming up at the end of March. The cut off date for our 500 person rooming list was Friday at 5pm. Long story short, my client sent me their spreadsheet at 4pm and I was stuck all night organizing it. Grrrrrrr.
Top & Shoes - Target
Sweater - NY & Co.
Black Skinnies - Guess
Necklace & earrings - Charming Charlies
Okay, this was my Friday night outfit. I know, I know, not a different day. I came home to change to meet Drew and his friends for a beer. I decided to just go with an outfit in my notebook. I was limited on time and it worked :).
If you haven't heard of or checked out Charming Charlies, you should!! I love it!
Sweater - NY & Co.
Green Shirt - Loft
Jeggings - Target
Shoes BCBG - DSW

I wore these shoes while running errands on Saturday. BIG mistake. My feet were SORE!!!!
Sweater - Loft
Black top, Jeggings, and shoes - Target
Necklace - Charming Charlie
Not sure if this really counts since I've sort of worn this before. The only thing different is the sweater and the necklace. Oh well, I'm counting it. Like I mentioned before, I didn't really pick too many items that were for casual wear.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. It was so sunny and nice out...now it's looking icky again.
I have a confession to make. I gave myself a shopping budget out of my tax return. So, I've been doing a little online shopping to spice up my Spring wardrobe. I guess that's against the rules for 30 for 30. BUT!!!!!!!! I haven't been wearing anything new yet...so maybe not. I've been adding some color to my shoe collection and just got some cute dresses in the mail today. I can't wait to show them offffffff!
My face isn't so bad today. It's a little tingly and sensitive but it's all good.
Spring couldn't get here soon enough. It's so hard for me to be motivated after work. I really need to start working out again. I'm in mini competition with a dear friend of mine. You're a week ahead of me Katie! GRRRRR You're still going down!
Drew's mom took me for my first microdermabrasion treatment today. OUCH!!! I have really bad scaring on my face that I want to get rid of so bad. During my consultation the nurse told me it would take 10 to 12 treatments before my scaring would go away. Damn high school acne!!! Needless to say my face is very red right now and I can't wear make up...hence the headless picture. I don't expect too much of a difference from just one treatment, but I'm hoping for the best. I had a different outfit in my notebook for today. I was standing in my closet this morning and randomly came up wtih this one, so I went with it. I dig it.
Today was a sad day at Kroger. Our Executive VP passed suddenly last week and the company had a big memorial service today in his honor. It was bittersweet. I just love this company so much. We're like one big family. It's so nice to work for a company that cares so much about their associates and the associates care so much about each other.
On a lighter note, this outfit. I felt like I was in my pj's all day! So comfy, even the shoes!
What a crappy crappy day. On top of the nasty rain and bad hair day, work was just insane! I'm so glad to be home.
Halfway through the remix! I had to plan out the rest of my outfits because I was so worried I would run out of ideas. Kendi gave some great tips today on what to do if you're struggling with your remixing.
YAY the weekend! I'm going to talk music for a sec. If you haven't listened to Jimmy Eat World before, I suggest you do so now. I've always loved them but seeing them live last night made me love them even more. I'd have to say it's in my top 2 of best concerts EVER! Number one being Brand New... AMAZING band. I need to get on itunes and buy the rest of Jimmy's music ASAP.
Hello Lovelies! This warmer weather puts me in such a great mood!! I wish it would never get colder. So, I pretty much love the poo out of these shoes. I think they will look super cute in the Spring without tights. Ugh tights...don't get me wrong, I love them! I just get sick of them squeezing the crap out of me ALL DAY! I love wearing skirts so I guess that's a sacrifice I have to make. Spring is almost here...
Speaking of Spring... do you all have any pieces that you are just dieing to wear but have to wait for Spring? I bought the most adorable trench coat from Kohl's last month that I'm dieing to wear! It's been hanging in my coat closet screaming my name every morning. In due time my precious...in due time.
Hope you all are getting warmer weather wherever you are!
Sort of back in action. I could have spent another day in bed. I took headless photos because you can see the sickness pouring out of my eyes. I hate being sick.
I tried a new color combo today. Not that it's ground breaking or anything, I've just never tried it. I'm diggin it. I wore a tank under this top this time...hehe. I adore this skirt but I usually wear it with just black. I want to start styling it with different colors. I have a really cute mustard yellow top that would look super cute with it. I'll have to give it a shot when my 30 for 30 is over.
...unless you want to see my largest Grey pj pants and baggy T.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
I HATE that I'm sick...grrrr. Being sick is such an inconvenience. Not only do I not get to post outfit #11, I'm also stressed about missing work. Thanks to my Blackberry I can answer emails but I'm still going to be behind tomorrow. WOOOO!
We bought a new couch yesterday. It's amazing what a new piece of furniture will do for a room. It looks like a whole new place. I love it. We ended up going to Lavomatic for our dinner. MMMMMMM!!! After that we went to Pavilion to meet friends for some much needed dancing. My feet hurt! I thought I'd share a pic of Drew and I all snazzed up. I will warn you, I am not wearing a dress from my 30 for 30. I figured it was okay since it was a special occasion and all.
1.) What color dominates your closet? I'd say mostly black and grey. I'm doing my best to add a bunch of color!
2.) If money weren’t an issue how would you change the color emphasis in your closet? I think I would try to have something in every color and shoes in every color (which I'm working on)
3.) What is your mantra about mixing colors? I'm trying to venture out a bit with my color mixing. I always like to add a pop of color. In the past my wardrobe consist of so many neutral colors, I've been trying to change that over the last year or so.
4.) For you, how do you incorporate color into your outfits? If I'm wearing an outfit that consists of mostly neutral colors, I try to add a pop of color by adding a belt, shoes, or tights. I'm trying to be a little more adventurous with my color choices. I remember when I first wore my pink tights to work...I don't think Kroger was ready for it at the time. I've eased them into it so I'm a little more comfortable with doing it now. HAHA. Such Conservatives!
5.) Which blogger(s) do you think do a good job of incorporating color into their wardrobe? I think Kendi would have to be my number one pick. She's always giving me new ideas on how to mix colors.
The lovely Anjela from A Dose of Delight gave me this award yesterday. Thanks a bunch! Now, it's my turn to send out the love! It says I need to list 15 bloggers I recently discovered and then list 7 things about myself. I'm still new to the blogger world so I don't have 15 people...
I didn't leave much time for pictures this morning. I wanted a better shot of my printed tights and of my blingy headband...bummer.
I am so glad this week is almost over. Drew and I have a dinner date Saturday for our 2 year anniversary. We actually have 3 different reservations. We are so indecisive on where we want to go. For those Cincinnatians...We have reservations at Local 127, Palomino, and Lavomatic. I think we'll decide when Saturday comes.
These pants have to be my absolute favorite. I always feel like I'm wearing pj's all day long. I love it.
I'm a big fan of Lauren Conrad's line at Kohl's. Have you seen it? One of my favorite blogs recently posted her 2011 Spring Lookbook. You should check it out...The Budget Babe: Lauren Conrad for Kohl's. Check out the rest of Budget Babe. I've been following her for over a year now. It's great. Anyway, this makes me want Spring to be here NOW!!! I can't wait to start shopping for new Spring clothes.
