Forgotten Shoes

Top: Target, Skirt: NY & Co., Belt: TJ Maxx, Shoes: Shoe Dazzel
If this isn't breaking out of my shell at work, I don't know what is. I felt more like ME in this outfit! I miss dressing like this everyday to work. So, why should I stop?  I'm such a fan of red and leopard. I feel like this is a combination that MUST be together, always.

I saw a girl wearing these shoes at my work event a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn't wait to tell her how much I loved them and that I have the same pair.  Sometimes I feel like I get overly excited about clothes and shoes and some just don't get it. Ha.  Anyway, I pulled these from the back of my closest (blowing the dust off) after being reminded just how much I love them.  I guess that's what happens when you have "too many shoes in your closet".  Whatever, Drew.

The Skirt

Top: Target, Jean Jacket: NY & Co., Skirt: Forever 21, Shoes: Nine West

This skirt has to be one of my favorites.  The second I put it on I started twirling around like a little girl.  Drew looks at me like I'm a crazy person. I always follow up with "You'd do this too if you were wearing this skirt."  It's so breezy, comfortable, and I love the color. I can't wait to start pairing it with other colorful pieces.

Share it: Stressed.

Stressed and sick of it. I have got to figure out a way to balance this crazy new job with life. I'm guilty of going home everyday and completly shutting down. Feeling like the whole world has come to an end because I've had "the worst day ever". How do I fix this? I have the most amazing fiance in the world that keeps me sane. He tries so hard to keep me motivated and active. I love him so much for that.  I've tried so many things to help relieve my stress, why not reach out to my blogging community?

What punches my bad day in the face...

He is my rock. These days, he's the ONLY thing that makes me smile. I wouldn't make it through the day without him.

My friends.
They are just amazing.  Although I don't get to see or talk to them as often as I'd like, I know I can count on them anytime. Thank goodness for email, gchat, & text.

My Family.
They always remind to to STOP sweating the small things!

I don't do it enough. When I do, I feel like I've just punched every stressful thought in the FACE.

My Blog.
I miss it. I don't devote as much time to it as I once did and that makes me sad. I love reading and posting, it's just fun. It's a hobby that I could NEVER get tired of.  Writing this little bit just helped!

Life is such a balancing act. The older we get, the more thrown on our plate.

How do you deal with stress?

What gets you through the day with a smile?

Top & Shoes: Target / Skirt: Kohl's / Necklace & Clutch: Charming Charlie

This is an outfit from last weekend. One of my favorite party skirts!   My necklace and top don't really match the colors in the skirt. But hey, it works! I don't have to be matchy matchy all the time.

I had another successful work event last week in good old Cincinnati!  It was a one day retail design event focused on Millennials. I loved lisetening to what all the GenX and Baby Boomers had to say about us Millenials. All of it so true (creepy).  Event #4...SUCCESS!

Drew and I had our engagement photos taken this weekend. They were so much fun and I can't wait to see the finished product.  I wasn't as camera shy as I thought I would be.  Maybe I'll venture outside someday soon for blog pics.

I'll be sure to share the photos as soon as we get them back!

Hitched in less than a YEAR!

Friday, June 1st marked our negative 1 year anniversary!  We officially have less than a year to plan our wedding and I have a feeling it's going to FLY by. Drew and I are getting our engagement photos taken this weekend.  I think this will help get our butts moving with planning. We've been procrastinating so much! We decided to go on a hunt to find a few spots to snap pics. We were worried lack of planning would result in meaningless pictures. So, we went on our search and feel much more prepared and organized.  Drew even put together a spreadsheet for our photographer (nerd). I love it.

While on our search, we snapped a few photos...I'm going to go ahead and call them outfit photos too...

dress: Forever21
These were snapped in Mt Storm Park in the Clifton area. We'll be snapping a few photos in this area on Saturday.

We of course had to snap a pic of our wedding ceremony location....
Burnet Woods, Clifton
AH! Doing stuff like this really gets me excited about our wedding!  June 1st, 2013 couldn't come soon enough!
