My Professional Look

Top & Bracelets: H&M - Skirt: Target - Shoes: Rusche - Bag: Kohl's

It's been a long time since I've worn an outfit like this. It's amazing how dressing up can put you in such a great mood. This is a perfect look for an interview or any sort of work event. I don't know about you, but if I have a big meeting or an interview comign up, I always stress about what i'm wearing. Why do that to yourself?! Just throw a button up and a pencil skirt together, and boom! Done. It says This girl knows what she's talking about! Well, at least that's how it makes me feel.

Open-Back Dress

Dress: Ruche, Shoes: Sole Society, Jacket: NY&Co.

First, I'd like to apologize for not showing off the best part (my favorite part) of this dress. I mean, it's the one detail that made me realize I need this dress in my life.  I'll admit, I got lazy. Putting on the "sticky-booby" bra was just going to be too much work. Maybe I should also apologize to Drew for keeping my hair in the ever so messy knot-do for our date night before his weekend away. Anyway, I'll just share one of our engagement photos with you so you get the true feel for this ADORABLE dress...

Outfit via iPhone

Top: Target
Flip Flops: Old Navy
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Pants: Kohl's - Lauren Conrad

My photographer wasn't home so I decided to use the trusty iPhone to snap my pics. They aren't the best, but it gets the job done.  This was my casual Friday outfit.  These pants are great!  I bought a pair in baby blue too (different brand).  They're so comfortable and oh so cute!  Pastel cropped pants are all over right now.  I'm on the lookout for a pink and maybe yellow pair. Any suggestions?

Happy Monday!

Turquoise & Navy - DAY 2

Top: Target
Blazer: H&M
Cropped Pants: Kohl's- Lauren Conrad
Shoes: DSW - Jessica Simpson
Bracelete: Francesca's

See, I told you.  Completely obsessed! You just can't go wrong with navy and turquoise.  It took a lot of pep talking to wear this outfit to work.  You see, I'm still new so I try not to stand out too much. I thought I'd wait for everyone to actually know my name before referring to me as the girl that dresses tacky.  No but seriously, I love this outfit.  .

I'm picking up my wedding dress today! EEEEE!  I'm so nervous. I'm so scared I'm not going to love it as much as I did when I picked it out.  It's been WAY too long since I've seen it.  I'll have an update tomorrow.

Have a good night!

Obsession: Turquoise & Navy

Top: Francesca's
Pants: Target
Shoes: Payless
Clutch: DSW

I'm back!  I know, I was gone much longer than I told you. Thanks for sticking around :)

It has been a crazy whirlwind since I started this new job.  I'm starting to get used to the craziness, finally.  Just a bit of an adjustment period I suppose.  Don't get me wrong, I love it.  It's defintely keeping me on my toes. With that being said, I'll be limiting my postes to Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.

I hope everyone is doing well!  I've missed my blogger world so much!

Nerd Alert

Glasses: Bonlook
Sweater/Shoes/Pants: Target
Necklace: Forever21

After years of procrastination, I finally ordered new glasses. What do you think?  My eyes feel a sense of freedom! A break from contacts AND stylish!?! Yes, please!  I'm channeling my inner nerd.

I went on a shopping trip this weekend.  Always a great time. I couldn't resist buying another pair of these skinnies from Target! If you haven't tried color skinnies yet, I suggest you should.

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Mixing Patterns

Top: H&M
Skirt: Loft
Tights: NY&Co.
Shoes: Payless

I'm really disappointed that the print on my skirt didn't show in these pictures. I guess my title Mixing Patterns doesn't really work if you can't see it!  Grr.  I call it my quilt skirt.  You've seen it styled plenty of times.  It was in my winter 30x30 remix too.  People either love or hate these shoes.  There's really no in between.  I either get great compliments or weird looks.  Ha.  I don't care. I love these babies.

I've decided to disguise my closet as a clothing store.  I'm thinking this might help me get my shopping fix.  Throw a sign over the closet and maybe a bell on the door.  I might even throw up some fake sale signs.  Okay, not really.  I only have a week left...I can do this.
