Crazy Crazy

Dress: Modcloth
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Jessica Simpson - DSW
Jacket: NY & Co.
Earrings: Charming Charlie

These pictures were taken before the craziness!  I figured since I've been slacking on outfit posts this week, I'd go ahead and post these anyway.   I promise once all this sets in I'll go back to having regular posts.

This is the dress I wore for my birthday in July.  I think pairing it with black really makes it stand out.  Another example of turning a summer dress into a fall outfit!

We're Engaged!!!

We went to dinner to celebrate his birthday and he asked me to marry him! I think I've told the story about 1,000 times now but I'll go for another:

We show up to Orchids at the Palm Court and were seated at a pretty awesome table overlooking the whole restaurant.  Every server that came to our table made sure they wished him a happy birthday.  We ordered the 5 course dinner and ate like kings.  It was time for dessert and they brought out just one plate.  The first thing that popped in my head was "Man, I don't want to share my dessert!"  The plate had a silver cover on it just like all of our other plates.  They put the plate down and pulled out the table.  At that point I had no idea what was going on.  They pulled the top off the plate and there was the ring. I was so busy looking at the ring I didn't even notice Drew on one knee next to me. I looked at him and said "Are you kidding me?!" Are you serious?!?!"  It was perfect.  Afterward he told me we had to stop in to show his mom really quick.  I was calling my dad, brother, and mom and no one would answer!  I was so upset.  We pull up to the resturant where his mom was and both of our families are in there waiting for us.  I just cried and hugged everyone.  HAPPIEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE.  After seeing everyone there we walked across the street to our favorite bar and ALL of our friends were there.  This kid....he had this planned out so well!  I was so impressed.  I seriously had no idea he was going to do this.

I swear I fell in love with Drew all over again Saturday night.

Cropped Pants

Cropped Pants: Target
Silk Shirt: Banana Republic
Pink Blazer: Kohl's
Shoes: Payless
Bag: Thirfted
Bracelet: Kohl's

I think this is officially one of my favorite work outfits. I haven't worn these pants in so long. You saw them one other time HERE.  Just another great find in my closet.  I got this shirt at Banana Republic for $20, originally $80!  I was so proud.  100% silk and oh so comfy.

This weekend is Drew's birthday extravaganza! We're starting it tonight with a rock show!  We're going to see one of my favorite bands, Colour Revolt.  I posted one of their songs on one of my old Music Monday posts.  If you get a chance, check out their music. AH-Mazing.  Saturday is Drew's actual birthday. The big two-seven.  He likes to call me his cougar...not funny.  I'm only 16 months older.

Better Late Than Never!

Navy Pants & Flower Pin: NY &Co.
Shoes & Top: Target
Red Bag & Belt: Thrifted
Bracelet: Kohl's

I know I know, I'm behind on my posts. Stop yelling.  Better late than never, right?  This was my Wednesday outfit.  I had just enough time to snap pictures before fixing a feast for my favorite men in the world...Dad, my brother (Adam), and Drew. I made some killer sketty and parmesan garlic bread. Yummo. I swear all my stress and bad days are forgotten when hanging with those guys.

I picked this bag up a long time ago at a thrift store. I'm in love with it but I hardly ever carry it.  I'm a, however,  a very loyal bag/purse carrier. I get a new one and fill it with all my necessities and nonsense and end up carrying it until  it becomes a never ending garbage pit.  I have so many to choose from, not sure why I do that.   It's amazing what a simple clutch or bag can do for an outfit.  I've decided  to start incorporating different ones  into my outfits each day.  What's the point of having them if I'm not going to use them? Right?

The Go-To Dress

Dress, Bracelet, Necklace & Blazer: Forever21
Tights: Target
Shoes: Chinese Laundry

Oh how I love this simple $15 dress from Forever21.  Who knew I could make so many different outfits out of this thing.  You've seen it here, here, here, and here.  I've worn this dress more than I can count.  Definitly an easy go to when I do not feel like picking out an outfit.

Do you have that one go-to piece in your closet?

Yellow Tights

Dress: Loft
Cardigan: NY&Co.
Tights: Kohl's
Boots: Alloy
Belt: Thirfted
Bag: Avon

I chose to finally wear my yellow tights to work.  I thought it would be easier to introduce them on Halloween.  Between Drew telling me I looked like I had jaundice and all the funny looks, I don't know if I'll wear them to work again.  I think a few of those people were going to ask me what I was dressed up as, then they quickly realized I'm just some weirdo in yellow tights.

Who am I kidding, I won't let that stop me!

The shopping ban is over!!!! Here are a couple things I've had my eye on all through October:
