This was an oufit I wore over the weekend.  I wore it to dinner and made Drew take me home  so I could change immediately after. I just wasn't comfortable.  I love the idea of this outfit but I need shorts that fit better. Dark denim with a little more length, I'm thinking.  Any suggestions on where I should shop? I'm thinking Gap.

I'm ashamed to admit this beautiful skirt has been sitting in my closet since January. Yes, January. It took some time for me to get comfortable dressing up in a casual work environment, let alone trying to style a bright blue tight skirt.  I'm making progress.   It won't sit that long EVER again. Promise.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My motivation is lacking after such a long weekend.  I should be back in my groove by tomorrow.

Hangout Music Fest: May 18-21, 2012

What a great experience! So many amazing bands all right on the beach! I have to say, my favoirite band experience was Coheed, hands down. The best part, of course,  was spending a long weekend with some pretty amazing people.  Now, it's back  to event planning, blog posts and the normal home life.  Thank goodness our pool opens this weekend!

Another set of photos from my trusty iPhone!  They're not the best but they get the job done. This will be my last post until the end of next week.  I'm going on VACATION!  We're going to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the Hangout Music Fest!  I get to see Coheed & Cambria, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dave Matthews Band (among MANY other bands)!  A long weekend of great bands on the beach. What more could you ask for?

I’ve worn glasses just about all of my life, since junior high to be exact.  I’ll never forget the day the doctor told me I needed glasses. Complete devastation! My photographer wasn't home so I decided to use the trusty iPhone to snap my pics. They aren't the best, but it gets the job done.  This was my casual Friday outfit.  These pants are great!  I bought a pair in baby blue too (different brand).  They're so comfortable and oh so cute!  Pastel cropped pants are all over right now.  I'm on the lookout for a pink and maybe yellow pair. Any suggestions?

I'm in love with Rachel Bilson's style. Who would have thought to pair floral, red, & leopard!?  I found this picture in a magazine many moons ago.  I ripped it out and placed in my extremely unorganized inspiration pile.  I was determined to make this outfit happen!  Next...red pencil skirt.

Oh I love the color of this dress! So much fun! I pulled this little number from the back of my closet to wear for my best friend Jayme's birthday.  I think I stood in my closet for a good hour trying on different dresses before I decided on this one.   I picked it up at Kohl's a couple of years ago for Jayme's birthday and paired it with black shoes and silver jewlery. Just add different accessories and you have a whole new outfit!  Boom. While these shoes aren't the best for my dangerously good dance moves, they were the perfect touch for this outfit.

Oh how I love warm weather.  You can't go wrong with a simple Summer dress like this one.  It goes with just about anything and it's so easy! I picked this dress up on sale at Target last summer for a super cheap price.  Gotta love Target sales!

This is another one of my sock bun attempts.  I had to keep stuffing my hair back in it all day. It was so frustrating. I think I need to try a thicker sock next time.  Have you had any luck with the sock bun?

Finally a skirt with strappy shoes!  You can't go wrong with a pencil skirt and T.  Pretty effortless.  Comfortable too, I might add.  I'm off to have dinner with a friend I haven't seen in AGES!
