Winter will no longer frustrate me with shoe limitations! I used to dread the winter months thinking I'd have to push most of my favorite shoes to the back of the closet until the next spring. Finally! I can talk about my news!!

I recently accepted a new Event Planning position outside of Kroger.  This is such a big step for me and my career.  The company provides industry trade publications such as books, magazines, and websites.  They host a big event for each trade magazine that I will be responsible for. The magazines focus on retail design, graphic design, and boutique hotel design. Right up my alley!  I get to work closely with the publishers and the marketing department to develop these events from scratch.  I start January 9th.   I feel like the position was tailored just for me!  I can't say just yet, but I'm thinking this could be my dream job :)

I picked up these lovely faux leather shorts at Kohl's for half off.  I've had my eye on them for awhile now.  Good things come to those who wait, right?  Has anyone else tried the faux leather shorts look?  Please share your styling ideas and tips!

I feel somewhat guilty for making this an outfit post.  You've seen this dress with every item I'm wearing just not simultaneously.  Like I've mentioned a billion times before, this is my go to dress. 

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned!  Drew and I are going on a date night to my absolute favorite restaurant, Local 127.   He's been out of town over the past couple of days so I'm really looking forward to this night out with him.

This is my favorite color combo, hands down.  It's the perfect shade of yellow and red without looking like Ronald McDonald's sister. I love it.  I spent too much money on this top while back.  I won't go into detail because it was completely out of character and I'm ashamed. I fe1l in love the second I saw it.  It's so comfortable and fits so well.

I've been slacking on my blog so much recently. For good reason though! I have some more good news to share with you but I can't just yet.  No, I'm not pregnant!!  There's just so much going on in my life right now, it's crazy! Sometimes I don't know how I keep my head on straight.   My exam is coming up January 7th.  I am so excited to get that overwith!  I'm a studying machine right now!
