Classic & Simple

Top: H&M, Skirt: Banana Republic, Shoes: Steve Madden, Necklace: Charming Charlie, Bag: Target

You just can't go wrong with a classic button up and simple black skirt. This is usually a go to of mine after standing hopelessly for hours in my closet. It always works and it always will.

Well, I'm back and boy have I missed you. I'm not technically back from anywhere, just a break. I'm so happy to be back in action with my blog. I love blogging. Really. It makes me happy even if no one ever read my posts. Stay tuned for weekly wedding updates and the long awaited "Shoe in Review" posts.

Have a lovely!

Kelly Green Pants

Top & Pants: Lauren Conrad, Kohls/Cardigan: Loft/ Shoes: Nine West/Bracelets: H&M

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July. I celebrated my 29th Birthday on the 3rd. Ugh. Yes, the big two-nine.  The last year of my twenties! AH! Where did time go? Regardless of how I feel about the age, the celebration was perfect. I went for tapas with Amiee and Drew and then ended the night out with with my closest friends. Drew and I ended the weekend in North Carolina mountains camping.  Yes, I went camping. SOO much fun. If you are considering a roadtrip in the near future, I highly recommend this place. Shoot me an email if you want more info!

I treated myself to a new outfit for my birthday. Since my new job, I've had zero time for shopping so this is pretty exciting. I really don't think the photo shows the actual color of these pants very well. They are a very virbant Kelly Green. Just lovely. I picked these Nine West shoes up at DSW with my birthday giftcard from my Pops.  He knows my love for shoes so well.

Colorful

Top & Shoes: Target / Skirt: Kohl's / Necklace & Clutch: Charming Charlie

This is an outfit from last weekend. One of my favorite party skirts!   My necklace and top don't really match the colors in the skirt. But hey, it works! I don't have to be matchy matchy all the time.

I had another successful work event last week in good old Cincinnati!  It was a one day retail design event focused on Millennials. I loved lisetening to what all the GenX and Baby Boomers had to say about us Millenials. All of it so true (creepy).  Event #4...SUCCESS!

Drew and I had our engagement photos taken this weekend. They were so much fun and I can't wait to see the finished product.  I wasn't as camera shy as I thought I would be.  Maybe I'll venture outside someday soon for blog pics.

I'll be sure to share the photos as soon as we get them back!

Shorts and Wedges

Top: Loft
Shots: Forever21
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Bracelet: Kohl's
Shoes: Target
Bag: Burlington Coat Factory

This was an oufit I wore over the weekend.  I wore it to dinner and made Drew take me home  so I could change immediately after. I just wasn't comfortable.  I love the idea of this outfit but I need shorts that fit better. Dark denim with a little more length, I'm thinking.  Any suggestions on where I should shop? I'm thinking Gap.

Outfit via iPhone

Top: Target
Flip Flops: Old Navy
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Pants: Kohl's - Lauren Conrad

My photographer wasn't home so I decided to use the trusty iPhone to snap my pics. They aren't the best, but it gets the job done.  This was my casual Friday outfit.  These pants are great!  I bought a pair in baby blue too (different brand).  They're so comfortable and oh so cute!  Pastel cropped pants are all over right now.  I'm on the lookout for a pink and maybe yellow pair. Any suggestions?

Happy Monday!
