Favorite Shoes

Top: H&M
Blazer: LC-Kohl's
Pants: Target
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Bracelet: Ruche

I made the decision today, these shoes are my absolute favorite pair of shoes I own. Maybe it's because it's been about 5 months since I've worn them.  I had to knock some dust off of them before putting them on.   The warm weather makes my shoe options are endless!   Drew just doesn't understand my excitement.  You all understand, don't you?

Yellow & Turquoise

Blazer: Kohl's
Jeans & Necklace: Forever21
Top: Old Navy
Shoes: Target

I love this color combination, it just screams spring! It can't come soon enough! Drew and I have been plotting our spring planting approach for the season. Our hopes are to turn the condo deck into a spring wonderland. Can't wait.

I've decided to do my best to avoid tights until next fall. Until my legs aren't so pasty, pants it is. Hello Jergens, help a girl out!

Blazer and Skinnies

Blazer: Forever21
Skinnies: Guess
Shoes & Tank: Target
Necklace: Avon
Clutch: H&M Las Vegas!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday! I'm off work today and loving every second of it.  I slept until 11am. Yes, ELEVEN!!! Am I 18 again?!  I feel like I've been nonstop for the past two weeks. Finally, I feel rested.

These are the only outfit pictures I took while in Vegas. You just can't go wrong with a blazer and skinnies.  I picked this lovely clutch up at H&M while shopping with Drew and Amiee. I'm in love with it and can't wait to use it again.

Have a lovely weekend!

On The Road Again

Blazer: H&M
Top- Old Navy
Necklace & Earings: Charming Charlie
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes & Skirt: Target

I was stuck taking pictures on my own. My photographer (Drew) was MIA.

By the time you read this post I will be in Vegas. I planned an awards bash for our VMSD Magazine at PURE Nightclub.  Our magazine asked our readers for nominations for the best up and coming young designers in the retail design industry.  Our editors picked the top 12 and Thursday night we are honoring them! It's really exciting stuff, read about it here.  Long story short, I'm onsite to make sure the event goes perfectly!   Drew came along with me and we're staying for the weekend! I'll be sure to post all my fun Vegas outfits as soon as I get home.

Flex Friday

Top: TJ Maxx
Blazer: Forever21
Jeans: Guess
Shoes: Chinesse Laundry
Scarf: Target
Belt: Thrifted

One of the many things I love about my new job is Flex Fridays.  We get the option of having every other Friday off for working a little extra each day. Not too shabby.  I just have to check my email a few times and I'm good to go!  It's been a rather eventful snowy Friday, had lunch today with a friend I haven't seen in a long time and her CUTIE baby. Then I stopped at Kohl's for my random sale check.  GREAT deals today, Ladies! I bought a leopard satchel for $8!!! Originally priced for $70. WOWZA.

If any of you are Kendi fans, you've seen this outfit! I pulled a copycat move with this one.  It's an outfit I found on her blog when I first started following her over a year ago.  I couldn't find it in her blog so I found it on Pintrest  here.

Everyone have  LOVELY weekend!

Getting Used to Casual

Blazer & Top: Target, Blazer & Necklace: Forever21, Jeans: Guess

It's been great getting into the casual dress code at work. I feel like I have so many new outfit options without even shopping. My blog is sort of changing direction too.  Showing off a new side of my style, I dig it.  I have a feeling my shopping trips will be much more exciting,  business casual won't be on the brain so much anymore.  Now, I need to figure out how to incorporate all of my skirts without looking too over dressed.

Pants Again

 Top: H&M
Blazer: NY & Co.
Jeans: Guess
Boots: Target
Necklace: Charming Charlie

Yes, I'm wearing pants AGAIN! Breathe Bre it's okay! Maybe I should clarify for those reading for the first time.  No, I do not have an issue wearing clothes on my bottom half. I'm notorious for wearing a lot of skirts. So, having more than one outfit post involving pants is rare.

Any big plans this weekend? A bunch of us are going out tonight. A much needed celebration with one of my besties to celebrate our new jobs!

Everyone have a lovely!

Tis The Season

Blazer: NY &Co.
Top & Skirt: Loft
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Payless (super old)
Necklace: Avon

Another festive outfit! This is one of my favorite winters skirts. It goes with just about anything and it sparkles! What woman doesn't love something that sparkles? I have to admit, all of this holiday eating is making my clothes a bit snug.  It's not even Chrstmas yet! I thought holiday food was calorie free!?!

Do: Wear tights with your Spring/Summer shoes.

Dress: Kohl's

Blazer: Target

Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Forever 21
Bracelet: Gift

Winter will no longer frustrate me with shoe limitations! I used to dread the winter months thinking I'd have to push most of my favorite shoes to the back of the closet until the next spring. Have you tried it yet?  Nervous about trying it?  I challenge you to give it a shot this week!  Link up and show me what how you styled your tights with open toe or strappy shoes.

Tights: NY&Co.
Shoes: Jessica Simpson - DSW
Necklace: Forever21

Finally! I can talk about my news!!

I recently accepted a new Event Planning position outside of Kroger.  This is such a big step for me and my career.  The company provides industry trade publications such as books, magazines, and websites.  They host a big event for each trade magazine that I will be responsible for. The magazines focus on retail design, graphic design, and boutique hotel design. Right up my alley!  I get to work closely with the publishers and the marketing department to develop these events from scratch.  I start January 9th.   I feel like the position was tailored just for me!  I can't say just yet, but I'm thinking this could be my dream job :)

Attack of the Neutrals

Skirt: Banana Republic
Top: Loft
Blazer & Tights: Target
Boots: Alloy
Bag: Michael Koors - Gift from my fiance

Whoa dude...black, gray, and brown?? Yes, this is happening. Since starting this blog my style has changed so much.  I'm much more willing to take risks.  Just a couple of years ago I would have never thought to wear black and brown.  Now, I'll pretty much wear these boots with anything!
I'm home sick today. No good.  These shots were from yesterday.  My face was pretty much swollen and my nose was bright red from blowing it.  I figured I'd spare the face shots.  The blog is about the outfit anyway, right?

Don't forget...

Cropped Pants

Cropped Pants: Target
Silk Shirt: Banana Republic
Pink Blazer: Kohl's
Shoes: Payless
Bag: Thirfted
Bracelet: Kohl's

I think this is officially one of my favorite work outfits. I haven't worn these pants in so long. You saw them one other time HERE.  Just another great find in my closet.  I got this shirt at Banana Republic for $20, originally $80!  I was so proud.  100% silk and oh so comfy.

This weekend is Drew's birthday extravaganza! We're starting it tonight with a rock show!  We're going to see one of my favorite bands, Colour Revolt.  I posted one of their songs on one of my old Music Monday posts.  If you get a chance, check out their music. AH-Mazing.  Saturday is Drew's actual birthday. The big two-seven.  He likes to call me his cougar...not funny.  I'm only 16 months older.

Spring to Fall

Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: Chinese Laundry
Blazer & Scarf: Target

You've seen this outfit HERE from this past spring.  This is a perfect example of how to flip a spring/summer outfit into fall. Simple and effortless!

I am so excited about Halloween this weekend!  We are going to a friend's house for a party tomorrow night.  I don't to spoil it and tell you about our costumes until I have pictures to post.  I made our costumes so I'm super proud of them.  I can't wait to show them off.

Dressing up for Halloween???
