Obsession: Turquoise & Navy

Top: Francesca's
Pants: Target
Shoes: Payless
Clutch: DSW

I'm back!  I know, I was gone much longer than I told you. Thanks for sticking around :)

It has been a crazy whirlwind since I started this new job.  I'm starting to get used to the craziness, finally.  Just a bit of an adjustment period I suppose.  Don't get me wrong, I love it.  It's defintely keeping me on my toes. With that being said, I'll be limiting my postes to Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.

I hope everyone is doing well!  I've missed my blogger world so much!

A Bad Day in Fabulous Shoes

Top: Loft
Sweater: Banana Republic
Black skinnies: Guess
Shoes: BCBG - DSW

I had an extrememly stressful day at work today so I'm keeping this one short.  At least I wore comfortable fabulous shoes all day!   I came home to flowers, beer, crab cakes & chocolate. Drew has to be the best fiance ever.

Hope everyone had a better day than me!

Woman Problems

Dress: H&M
Cardi/Shoes/Tights/Scarf: Target

I absolutely love the color of these tights. The only problem is everytime I put them on with an outfit it never looks as good as I imagined. I hate that. I'm sure every woman has these issues. Just because it sounds faboulus in your head doesn't mean it looks fabulous on. Those are the days I'm usually late for work. This outfit is on of the few positive outcomes.

Tis The Season

Blazer: NY &Co.
Top & Skirt: Loft
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Payless (super old)
Necklace: Avon

Another festive outfit! This is one of my favorite winters skirts. It goes with just about anything and it sparkles! What woman doesn't love something that sparkles? I have to admit, all of this holiday eating is making my clothes a bit snug.  It's not even Chrstmas yet! I thought holiday food was calorie free!?!

Too Much Food

 Dress: Forever 21
Jacket: Kohl's
Shoes: Old Navy
Scarf: H&M

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving.  Drew and I had 4 Thanksgiving meals that day. Yes, four. We weighed ourselves when we got home just for giggles.  It wasn't so funny when I saw the results.  3lbs for me and 4 for him.  Combined that's the size of a baby.  Phew.  Good thing I wore this comfy dress all day. Plenty of room for stuffing and turkey.

On top of all the Thanksgiving hooplah, we went cupcake tasting this weekend.  I'll let the picture do the talking.

Copycat (meow)

Dress & Top: Target
Shoes: Old Navy
Bracelet: Kohl's
Charm Necklace: Charming Charlie
Bead Necklace & Belt: Thrifted

Between blowing my nose, coughing, and medicine head, I've had no energy to come up with outfit ideas. Have you ever had a NyQuil hangover?  Trust me, it's bad.  And no, I don't take NyQuil for recreational purposes.

Anyway,  when I came across this little number by Molly at Urban Nester,  I had to recreate it!  Of course I wish I had the leather dress she's rocking, but I had to work with what was in my closet.  I like how it turned out. Dress turned jumper, I guess you could say.

New Tights

Cardigan & Top: NY & Co.
Skirt: H&M
Tights: Target
Shoes: Payless

I can't figure out what color these tights are.  I was in such a hurry to rip them out of the pack that I didn't bother to check the color name.  I guess I'd say coffee or maybe even a clay color. I think the picture kind of throws it off. They aren't really as red as they look in this picture.  Either way, I love them.  I really like the pop of color they added to this all neutral-ish outfit.

I'm in love with doing my hair like this! I taught a girl at work how to do it and she's wearing one today. I love it.

Don't forget about...

Mixing Patterns

Top: H&M
Skirt: Loft
Tights: NY&Co.
Shoes: Payless

I'm really disappointed that the print on my skirt didn't show in these pictures. I guess my title Mixing Patterns doesn't really work if you can't see it!  Grr.  I call it my quilt skirt.  You've seen it styled plenty of times.  It was in my winter 30x30 remix too.  People either love or hate these shoes.  There's really no in between.  I either get great compliments or weird looks.  Ha.  I don't care. I love these babies.

I've decided to disguise my closet as a clothing store.  I'm thinking this might help me get my shopping fix.  Throw a sign over the closet and maybe a bell on the door.  I might even throw up some fake sale signs.  Okay, not really.  I only have a week left...I can do this.
