Back to Work Look

Sweater: Old Navy / Shoes: Jessica Simpson / Skirt: NY & Co. / Necklace: Charming Charlie

This week on EBEW, bloggers are posting their favorite back to school looks. I thought this link-up was appropriate since this outfit is from my first week back to Kroger.  Yes, I said KROGER! Do you understand how hard it's been keeping this a secret from you? I'll save the details for another time but Kroger has hired me back as their Senior Meeting Planner. YAY!

With a new job comes shopping, right? I picked up this whole outfit for next to nothing over Labor Day weekend. These sales were just in time for my Fall shopping itch.

My Professional Look

Top & Bracelets: H&M - Skirt: Target - Shoes: Rusche - Bag: Kohl's

It's been a long time since I've worn an outfit like this. It's amazing how dressing up can put you in such a great mood. This is a perfect look for an interview or any sort of work event. I don't know about you, but if I have a big meeting or an interview comign up, I always stress about what i'm wearing. Why do that to yourself?! Just throw a button up and a pencil skirt together, and boom! Done. It says This girl knows what she's talking about! Well, at least that's how it makes me feel.

Forgotten Shoes

Top: Target, Skirt: NY & Co., Belt: TJ Maxx, Shoes: Shoe Dazzel
If this isn't breaking out of my shell at work, I don't know what is. I felt more like ME in this outfit! I miss dressing like this everyday to work. So, why should I stop?  I'm such a fan of red and leopard. I feel like this is a combination that MUST be together, always.

I saw a girl wearing these shoes at my work event a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn't wait to tell her how much I loved them and that I have the same pair.  Sometimes I feel like I get overly excited about clothes and shoes and some just don't get it. Ha.  Anyway, I pulled these from the back of my closest (blowing the dust off) after being reminded just how much I love them.  I guess that's what happens when you have "too many shoes in your closet".  Whatever, Drew.

Royal Blue

Top, Belt, Skirt: Target
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Bracelet: Avon
Shoes: BCBG

I'm ashamed to admit this beautiful skirt has been sitting in my closet since January. Yes, January. It took some time for me to get comfortable dressing up in a casual work environment, let alone trying to style a bright blue tight skirt.  I'm making progress.   It won't sit that long EVER again. Promise.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My motivation is lacking after such a long weekend.  I should be back in my groove by tomorrow.

T-shirt & Pencil Skirt

T-shirt: Target
Skirt: Ruche
Shoes: J-Lo (old)
Necklace & Bracelet: Avon

Finally a skirt with strappy shoes!  You can't go wrong with a pencil skirt and T.  Pretty effortless.  Comfortable too, I might add.  I'm off to have dinner with a friend I haven't seen in AGES!

Have a lovely night!

I ordered this lovely skirt online thinking it was yellow.  It even looks yellow in these pictures but the truth is, it's lime green. Oh well, I still love stink out of it.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Before I share all of my pictures of Vegas, I have to share my good news! I PASSED MY CMP EXAM!  EEEEE! I'm officially a Certified Meeting Professional. Finally after all the time and stress I can breathe.

Vegas pics tomorrow :)

Method to her Fab-ness

Top: Banana Republic
Skirt: Loft
Shoes & Tights Target
Necklace: Thrifted
Bag: Jessica Simpson - Dillards

Last Friday we went out for my dear friend's b-day celebration.  She had on the most adorable b-day outfit ever. I really wished I snapped a pic.  Just imagine, chamary shirt, real leather pencil skirt with pockets, black tights and black flat boots.  Loved it.  She explained the method to her fabulousness and I loved it more.  She said, "I felt like I was in gradeschool again! I had no idea what to wear so I decided to wear all of my favorite things together."  Don't you just love that! Haha! I will file that into my outfit picking repertoire to use when I just can't seem find the right outfit. Love you, Val! Hope you had a fabulous birthday.

This skirt is always a go to when I have no idea what to wear.  It's black, and well, black goes with everything.

Tis The Season

Blazer: NY &Co.
Top & Skirt: Loft
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Payless (super old)
Necklace: Avon

Another festive outfit! This is one of my favorite winters skirts. It goes with just about anything and it sparkles! What woman doesn't love something that sparkles? I have to admit, all of this holiday eating is making my clothes a bit snug.  It's not even Chrstmas yet! I thought holiday food was calorie free!?!

A Christmas Themed Week

Cami: Old
Cardigan: Ny& Co.
Navy Skirt: H&M
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: Jessica Simpson

Christmas is my theme this week.  Our department has a holiday luncheon scheduled every day this week with different vendors. So, I figured I'd be festive.  I've been practicing getting up earlier since my commute to my new job will be much longer.  I had time to curl my hair, which NEVER happens.  My hair is extremely  thick so it takes about 30 minutes to make this happen.

My days are numbered as a Meeting Planner for Kroger.  It's bittersweet.  I've been an emotional mess lately.  I've been slowly cleaning out my desk and training the other planners on my meetings.   I've been at Kroger for 8 years and spent just about everyday with these ladies.  It's like leaving family (crying as I type this).  I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for them.  I'll miss them so much.

Mustard and Burgundy

Top: Dillards
Skirt: NY&Co.
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes: BCBG - Dillards

This is my favorite color combo, hands down.  It's the perfect shade of yellow and red without looking like Ronald McDonald's sister. I love it.  I spent too much money on this top while back.  I won't go into detail because it was completely out of character and I'm ashamed. I fe1l in love the second I saw it.  It's so comfortable and fits so well.

I've been slacking on my blog so much recently. For good reason though! I have some more good news to share with you but I can't just yet.  No, I'm not pregnant!!  There's just so much going on in my life right now, it's crazy! Sometimes I don't know how I keep my head on straight.   My exam is coming up January 7th.  I am so excited to get that overwith!  I'm a studying machine right now!

Can't think of a title...

Top: Forever21, Shoes & Skirt: Target, Necklace: Charming Charlie, Bracelet: Kohl's

While I don't have too many pink things in my closet, I'll be doing my best to try to add some splashes of pink this month.  As you know, this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Kroger is a big sponsor and really does a lot to get involved with the cause.  In fact, our building will be lit up with pink lights all month long. It's great.

I'm happy to say I haven't been forced into tights this fall just yet. We've had perfect weather all week! I'm trying to keep the bare legs as long as I can!

The Winter Box

Top: NY&Co., Boots: Alloy, Skirt: Loft, Bracelet: Forever21, Necklace & Belt: Thrifted

Good morning, Loves! It's almost Friday.  Thank goodness! Earlier this week I dug out my winter clothes box. As much as I didn't want to see Summer go, I was ready.  I had about 6 skirts and a few sweaters packed away, this skirt included.  It was like Christmas! This girl loves to shop, especially when the seasons change.  Packing away clothes and the rediscovering them really suppresses my shopping addiction adventures. My wallet will appreciate that.

Has anyone else busted out the winter box yet? Any great finds??
