Back to Work Look

Sweater: Old Navy / Shoes: Jessica Simpson / Skirt: NY & Co. / Necklace: Charming Charlie

This week on EBEW, bloggers are posting their favorite back to school looks. I thought this link-up was appropriate since this outfit is from my first week back to Kroger.  Yes, I said KROGER! Do you understand how hard it's been keeping this a secret from you? I'll save the details for another time but Kroger has hired me back as their Senior Meeting Planner. YAY!

With a new job comes shopping, right? I picked up this whole outfit for next to nothing over Labor Day weekend. These sales were just in time for my Fall shopping itch.

Chevron and Glasses

Top: Burlington Coat Factory / Shorts: Forever 21 / Shoes: Steve Madden-DSW / Glasses: Bonlook

I jumped about 10 feet in the air when I found this top. I have a serious obsession with large sheer tops right now. It's sick. Finding one with a chevron print was like hitting the friggin jackpot.

I hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day weekend. I had such a great time with Drew, family and friends!

Fave shot of the weekend...

Forgotten Shoes

Top: Target, Skirt: NY & Co., Belt: TJ Maxx, Shoes: Shoe Dazzel
If this isn't breaking out of my shell at work, I don't know what is. I felt more like ME in this outfit! I miss dressing like this everyday to work. So, why should I stop?  I'm such a fan of red and leopard. I feel like this is a combination that MUST be together, always.

I saw a girl wearing these shoes at my work event a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn't wait to tell her how much I loved them and that I have the same pair.  Sometimes I feel like I get overly excited about clothes and shoes and some just don't get it. Ha.  Anyway, I pulled these from the back of my closest (blowing the dust off) after being reminded just how much I love them.  I guess that's what happens when you have "too many shoes in your closet".  Whatever, Drew.

Colorful

Top & Shoes: Target / Skirt: Kohl's / Necklace & Clutch: Charming Charlie

This is an outfit from last weekend. One of my favorite party skirts!   My necklace and top don't really match the colors in the skirt. But hey, it works! I don't have to be matchy matchy all the time.

I had another successful work event last week in good old Cincinnati!  It was a one day retail design event focused on Millennials. I loved lisetening to what all the GenX and Baby Boomers had to say about us Millenials. All of it so true (creepy).  Event #4...SUCCESS!

Drew and I had our engagement photos taken this weekend. They were so much fun and I can't wait to see the finished product.  I wasn't as camera shy as I thought I would be.  Maybe I'll venture outside someday soon for blog pics.

I'll be sure to share the photos as soon as we get them back!

Vacation Bound!

Shirt, Belt, Scarf, Sandals: Target
Maxi Skirt: Old Navy

Another set of photos from my trusty iPhone!  They're not the best but they get the job done. This will be my last post until the end of next week.  I'm going on VACATION!  We're going to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the Hangout Music Fest!  I get to see Coheed & Cambria, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dave Matthews Band (among MANY other bands)!  A long weekend of great bands on the beach. What more could you ask for?

I'll be sure to share photos when I return.  Have a lovely weekend!

I'm in love with Rachel Bilson's style. Who would have thought to pair floral, red, & leopard!?  I found this picture in a magazine many moons ago.  I ripped it out and placed in my extremely unorganized inspiration pile.  I was determined to make this outfit happen!  Next...red pencil skirt.

I hope everyone has a LOVELY weekend!

Polka Dot Shoes

Top: Old Navy
Cropped pants: Gap
Shoes & Necklace: Forever21
Bracelet: Charming Charlie

Hi, it's me. Yes, I'm still alive.  As much as this pains me to say, I think I'm going to take a little blog break (hopefully for just a week). I barely have time to keep up with my blog among many other things.  My new job is a bit more intense than I ever expected. I barely have time for anything it seems.  I will be in LA next week for an event and hope to get back to blogging (maybe cut it down to Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays) when I return.

Thanks for sticking with me, loves. Blogging has been my favorite hobby and I absolutely do not want to give up on it 100%.

Have a wonderful Holiday weekend!

I had an extrememly stressful day at work today so I'm keeping this one short.  At least I wore comfortable fabulous shoes all day!   I came home to flowers, beer, crab cakes & chocolate. Drew has to be the best fiance ever.

Red & Polka Dots

Top & Necklace: Forever21
Pants: Gap
Wedges: Target

I have a serious crush on these cropped pants! Gap calls the color Vermilion. Their a cross between red and orange.  I have to admit, I didn't put as much effort in my debut of these pants as I wanted. Monday's aren't always my best days.  I'll try something a bit edgier next time you see these.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

I ordered this lovely skirt online thinking it was yellow.  It even looks yellow in these pictures but the truth is, it's lime green. Oh well, I still love stink out of it.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Before I share all of my pictures of Vegas, I have to share my good news! I PASSED MY CMP EXAM!  EEEEE! I'm officially a Certified Meeting Professional. Finally after all the time and stress I can breathe.

On The Road Again

Blazer: H&M
Top- Old Navy
Necklace & Earings: Charming Charlie
Tights: Kohl's
Shoes & Skirt: Target

I was stuck taking pictures on my own. My photographer (Drew) was MIA.

By the time you read this post I will be in Vegas. I planned an awards bash for our VMSD Magazine at PURE Nightclub.  Our magazine asked our readers for nominations for the best up and coming young designers in the retail design industry.  Our editors picked the top 12 and Thursday night we are honoring them! It's really exciting stuff, read about it here.  Long story short, I'm onsite to make sure the event goes perfectly!   Drew came along with me and we're staying for the weekend! I'll be sure to post all my fun Vegas outfits as soon as I get home.

Another apology for the lack of posts. Next week is my first event in Vail! Needless to say, it's a bit crazy in the office this week.

I snagged this Lauren Conrad sweater from Kohl's for just $10!!  Super sale!!!  I wasn't so sure about it at first. Now, I love it!  You would have never caught me this grandma-ish sweater a year ago. My, how things change.

Method to her Fab-ness

Top: Banana Republic
Skirt: Loft
Shoes & Tights Target
Necklace: Thrifted
Bag: Jessica Simpson - Dillards

Last Friday we went out for my dear friend's b-day celebration.  She had on the most adorable b-day outfit ever. I really wished I snapped a pic.  Just imagine, chamary shirt, real leather pencil skirt with pockets, black tights and black flat boots.  Loved it.  She explained the method to her fabulousness and I loved it more.  She said, "I felt like I was in gradeschool again! I had no idea what to wear so I decided to wear all of my favorite things together."  Don't you just love that! Haha! I will file that into my outfit picking repertoire to use when I just can't seem find the right outfit. Love you, Val! Hope you had a fabulous birthday.

This skirt is always a go to when I have no idea what to wear.  It's black, and well, black goes with everything.
