Last Friday we went out for my dear friend's b-day celebration.  She had on the most adorable b-day outfit ever. I really wished I snapped a pic.  Just imagine, chamary shirt, real leather pencil skirt with pockets, black tights and black flat boots.  Loved it.  She explained the method to her fabulousness and I loved it more.  She said, "I felt like I was in gradeschool again! I had no idea what to wear so I decided to wear all of my favorite things together."  Don't you just love that! Haha! I will file that into my outfit picking repertoire to use when I just can't seem find the right outfit. Love you, Val! Hope you had a fabulous birthday.

This skirt is always a go to when I have no idea what to wear.  It's black, and well, black goes with everything.

After years of procrastination, I finally ordered new glasses. What do you think?  My eyes feel a sense of freedom! A break from contacts AND stylish!?! Yes, please!  I'm channeling my inner nerd.

I went on a shopping trip this weekend.  Always a great time. I couldn't resist buying another pair of these skinnies from Target! If you haven't tried color skinnies yet, I suggest you should.

I absolutely love the color of these tights. The only problem is everytime I put them on with an outfit it never looks as good as I imagined. I hate that. I'm sure every woman has these issues. Just because it sounds faboulus in your head doesn't mean it looks fabulous on. Those are the days I'm usually late for work. This outfit is on of the few positive outcomes.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  After my year in review post I couldn't stop thinking about these shoes.  It's been awhile since I've busted these babies out.  I wish I could find a kitten heel shoe as cute as these more often. My feet and knees would probably love me so much more. 

I have to brag about this sweater...6 bucks at Old Navy!  I love when I randomly stumble across a fabulous sale.

A Year in Review: Part 2

I love how I mixed the pattern with a vibrant green top and fun pink shoes!

This has to be in my top 5.  Those shoes absolutely kill my feet! The price we pay...

This is my number one.  I think every woman needs a fun sequin mini in their closet!

I need to wear this outfit again.  I had so much fun in it. Not to mention it was then night before I got engaged!

Ah, faux leather shorts.  If you asked me a year ago if I'd wear these babies, I'd probably look at you like you had 5 heads.  If you haven't tried them, I suggest you do!

 Month 12

Red pants! Another first for me!  I'm telling you, this blog has helped me break out of my shell! Now, I have no fear! Well, expect wearing them to the new job. In due time.

A Year in Review: Part 1

Yesterday was my 1 year blog-iversary! Whoa that flew by! To celebrate a great year of blogging, I thought I'd review my top 12 favorite outfits. One for each month of posting.  

Month 1

As you can tell by the picture quality, this was one of my very first outfit posts.  I loved the neutral mix with the blue top and green shoes.

 

Month 2

I remember being so excited about wearing these leopard print shoes for the first time.  I love the way the black tights make the leopard pop!

 

Month 3

Oh this dress and shoes!!  It has an amazing zipper down the back of it.  I remember feeling like hot stuff the night I wore this out. Nothing like a dress that makes you feel amazing!

 

Month 4

In Vegas! I met MC Hammer in this little number.  LOVE IT.

 

Month 5

This outfit shows off a classic Ang look.  One of my favorite skirts!

Month 6 

I haven't worn this dress since this night.  I quickly remembered how much I love this thing.  I need another girls night so I can wear it again! Oh and the shoes! LOVE!

Worn Friday night.

My new job has been the hot topic on my blog lately. I can't help it!  This is week 3 and it's going wonderfully.  I am crazy busy and love every single second of it. I'm surrounded by such amazing positive people here. I feel like I'm in a whole new world!  I've been trying to get in the swing of my new work schedule trying to balance it with my personal life. Man, it's harder the older you get!  I feel like I never have enough time in my day.  I'll figure it all out soon enough. Thanks homies for putting up with me being so distant.  I'll be back around soon, promise.
