First of all, this was my Thursday outfit. This dress is one of my favs.  You've seen it before covered up with a sweater.  Now that it's warmer out, I don't have to cover up this beauty!

This is a really big year for my boyfriend, Drew.  He graduates with his MBA from Xavier in August, and starts a great new job with Toyota Boshoku next week!  I'm so proud, happy, excited for him.  It's a little bittersweet for me today. You see, Drew and I met at Kroger where I currently work now.  My department moved to the 5th floor 3 years ago and his office was only 10 ft from mine.  I won't go into all the details of how we started dating (it's pretty cute and funny). He stareted working for 5/3 (the bank) not too long after, still downtown.   Long story short, we were always going to lunches together, taking walks, staying downtown for date nights after work and all of that fun stuff.  Now, his new job is going to be in Northern Kentucky.  I'm REALLY gonna miss him!  

Tonight, to celebrate his new job and his last day working downtown, we decided to have one of our "downtown date nights".  We're going for happy hour drinks first and then to NADA for dinner.  While I'm SOOO happy for his new job, I'm gonna miss him down here :(

I had my FIRST athletic almost injury last night.  As I've mentioned plenty of times before, playing on this volleyball team is the first sporty thing I've done in my life.  Telling you this story reminds me of being a kid and thinking it was cool every time I got hurt while riding bikes or playing outside.  I couldn't wait to tell my friends the story of what happened or show them my scab!  Anyway, I got nailed in the nose by a gazillion mile per hour volleyball by the tallest guy ever! Do you like my exaggeration? It hit me straight on the nose and knocked me on my booty!  Of course my eyes started watering and it scared the crap out of me.  I would have balled my eyes out had I been alone.  The poor guy that hit me was so embarrassed.  He apologized and then wouldn't look at me the rest of the night.  Good news, no "Marsha Brady" nose. It's sore but I'm still truckin.

So these shoes....I LOVE THEM.  I bought them awhile back and tried them on with many outfits.  I almost took them back at one point.  I finally made myself wear them yesterday and just fell in love.

Hi lovelies!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I had a pretty nice one.  Saturday we got to see a Led Zeppelin cover band. They rocked my face.  Sunday we took a trip to Home Depot and got a bunch of flowers and stuff to put on the deck. It's funny how at 28 (on July 3rd) I actually get excited about that kinda of stuff.  Just two years ago I would have never thought about doing that kind of stuff! haha!  I should have taken better pics of it to show you.  I'll do that on my next post :)

These pictures aren't the greatest as far as lighting goes.  I wasn't too concerned since you've seen the dress before.  It's hunter green in case you can't see it.   I love this dress but I always get into a bit of a remix pickle when I want to wear it.  The only thing I can come up with is pairing it with different shoes and jewelry. Any suggestions??

I've only worn this skirt one time way before I started my blog...not sure why. I love this thing. It makes me want to go out and dance around  in it.  It's my party skirt.  We'll save the dancing for another night.  I'm posted on my couch with Drew in my comfies..
 
I got to meet Carrie Underwood at work today.  She is promoting Vitamin Water exclusively with Kroger.   We didn't find out about it until this morning so I didn't have my camera.   One of the girls in my department took a pic.  I'll share as soon as I get it.  Carrie was by far the most beautiful woman I've ever seen!

So this dress looks very vintage to me, but it's not.  I got it at this little place called Dots last year for under $20.  It has a bit of a 50's vibe. I feel like I should be on a Leave it to Beaver episode or something.

I saw Kendi's Save the Date post about the upcoming 30 for 30!  I'm excited.  I decided to do it a little differently and not include my shoes. I just love being able to wear different shoes all the time, so I don't want to limit myself.  Coming up June 13th!

Today was my first day back to work.  Eleven days off work can really really do a number on you.  I was used to eating whenever I wanted sleeping as long as I wanted.  Needless to say,  I was a  tired and hungry mess today.  Nice combo.

I got this skirt at the Gap Outlet this weekend for $10!!!  Great find!   The thing I love about the top is I can dress it up like this or throw it on with some jeans and flips.   Wonderfulness.
